Sometimes we feel that some thing’s are just too good not to take a risk on! And although our preference is always to try and source as locally as possible… sometimes that special thing is a teeny bit far away (enter the argument of embodied energy etc right in here!). We have been given the opportunity to lift a massive amount of ex bowling alley (48 lanes to be precise… plus other associated bits n’ bobs). Anybody who has been furniture making in the past 6 years or so will relate to the bowling alley craze that hit our state when apparently the first of the centres began coming down (sadly… but that’s another story).
So… this weekend, a few of us will be heading to Brisbane to begin the task of bringing the gear home… and at home, a few preparations are being made to store it safely out of the weather… for the future!!
