This ambitious and exciting project was embarked upon by our friends Phil and Ronnie just a few years back when the Victoria Carpets factory site came up for sale. It took their bold, innovative confidence to turn this into what has now become a cultural ‘hub’ for our amazing town.

Ex Salvage Yard hacks themselves, Campbell and Tim and their dynamic partners’ Andrea and Felicity, emailed us last year when we were overseas announcing their ‘retirement’ from the yard, due to the fact that they had just ‘bought a theatre’.

This beautiful studio, tucked down on Templeton street, houses the brainchild of Tim Preston and Debbie Taylor. This duo is in both parts incredible artisans of timber products and multi talented designer/project manager. Antun Davcik has created a beautiful space down at the old woollen mills to showcase the work of local creators and provide high quality ‘pieces’ for those who appreciate furniture from a bygone era. Antun creates furniture, beautifully cobbled together from his own salvaged collection!
